Yesterday, i saw this wonderful romantic movie named "a walk to remember"....
Before i begin to tell my opinion about the movie ,i must admit that these days i am seeing lot of romantic movies .. I like very few of them .. and along with serendipity ,this one is one of them now.. :)
Every couple have their own definition of love.. some call it a divine power, magic, gift of god, purest thing specially created for man etc... etc.. Till date, many Hollywood movies also have added their own definitions.. this film also adds one.. But i liked the definition stated in this movie very much.. it is simple yet meaning full .. not perfect though ..
The movie gives the message that Love is a same as of wind.. you can't see it ,but you can feel it.. .
Wow, what a new perspective this movies adds... Love is to be felt by lovers... which negates the material aspects Like, proximity of lovers, language in which they communicate.. because, emotions can be felt by the person irrespective of these things .. so, LOVE is the purest of kind and is the best emotion.
The story is based on a spoiled hero and a heroin who is down due to cancer.. how hero falls in love with the heroin .. How, he tries to fulfill all her wishes on wish list.. ,how he fulfills her 1st ranked wish of getting married in the same church as her parents got married .. the story is cute and it goes on in quite interesting way .... Of curse, guys might feel that movie is dumb as in movie does not show any contribution from the girl's part in their relationship .. but, strong reason behind this is her cancer...
But, i do felt that not telling him before, that she has cancer is blunt.. When she felt his closeness, she should have told him .. .. hmmm..
Anyway, I liked the movie for it's wholeness and strong story-line ..
The hero changes a lot because of heroin ... there is no touching scene between hero and heroin .. but ya, there are few romantic scenes .. like, dancing together in spite of the fact that they both don't know how to dance , spending whole night (innocently ;) ) under the starry sky on a blanket gazing at stars [ I liked this one :P ]
So, all in all, good movie with good direction. Must see for couples... ;)
